Diann and Jeff Gordon, grandma and grandpa: Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. We are so thankful for all of you helping the Gordon family in our time of need. The result of all your prayers and thoughts is that Rosie is doing really well. For all practical purposes, she is back to her old bouncy, talkative, imaginative, very special self. Her healing has been a joy to us and to her doctors as well. Her spirit and bright, positive attitude has been the medicine we all have needed. As she heals, so do we. Tom, Kendra, Rosie and Paul are spending their Thanksgiving with Kendra's Aunt and Uncle, their family, and Kendra's sister and brother and their families in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. A well deserved respite for them, and they are having a wonderful time. The Gordon family has so much to be thankful for, and that includes all of you. We hope you have a most wonderful, happy, memorable Thanksgiving.

Emma - Lynn's client: Hello Rosie and family, Lynn used to cut my hair in Chicago and I have just learned of Rosie's ordeal. I am so thrilled to hear that she is doing so well! I know that Rosie will continue to make wonderful progress with such a loving support system. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Diann and Jeff Gordon, grandma and grandpa: Thanks to Booby's for hosting a benefit for Rosie on Halloween evening. Tom just told me that it was a generous donation coming from a lot of people from southern Illinois, a most wonderful and supportive place to live. I also just talked to Rosie who had a great time Trick or Treating with some friends of hers and their parents who live in Murphysboro. She was happy that she got some Reese's peanut butter cups and that she was home in time to pass out candy to other children. We are grateful to see her having a good time on such a great day for children of all ages.

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): Hi everyone. We want to thank all of you who have put money in the jars around Southern Illinois. We are slowly collecting them and it is very nice for the Gordon family. Thanks for all your generosity and positive thoughts and prayers. Rosie is doing GREAT! She is such a doll!

Grandma Diann: Hi all, On Friday, I went along with Kendra and Rosie's class from New School on a wonderful field trip to Green Retreat, which is down the road from our home on Chautauqua Road in Carbondale. We learned about horses, pumpkins and how they grow, about levees and the fish in the pond; we made a scarecrow, had a hay ride and the kids each got to pick out a pumpkin. Cupcakes followed and lots of fun was had by everyone. Rosie enjoyed herself and liked taking home a pumpkin. She has a great little class of friends and there were lots of moms there with the class; it was great. Glad to be able to share these times with her, thanks to Kendra asking me to come with.

greg: Hope rosie is doing better after all these months. God bless. --Greg

dottie mcclane: kendra- I just recently learned about Rosie--My prayers are with you and your family. It was good to know where you are. I am so sorry for this indident with your daughter. You have my admiration for the way it appears you are dealing with everything. I am not surprised-I always thought you were special. love dottie

Diann Gordon: Miss Rosie paid a visit to the White House Salon in Murphysboro and got a fantastic hair cut from Aunt Lynn, who is a stylist there. Rosie sat on my lap, and after her haircut was done, as she was getting off my lap, she declared that she was "real good" sitting through her haircut (Aunt Lynn has had to catch her on the run, almost, in the past) and that her mommy asked her to be good and she was! And we have no disagreement with that. After playing at the salon for a while (they have a child's playroom there, which is nice) I took her over to our house where she directed one game after another..fairies, Tinkerbell and Peter Pan, pumpkin family (that was interesting), and we ended the day with her cleaning pine needles and dead bugs out of the pool with net on a pole, which was her idea so grandpa would be happy with the bugs being out of the pool. These times are extremely special and wonderful for me. Many thanks again to all of you for helping to make her recovery so positive.

Josh & Erin: We're so sorry to hear about this terrible tragedy, and we are happy that Rosie is recovering with support. We will be thinking of you and your family. Sorry to have missed the benefit.

Amanda: What a fun time at Aunt Lynn's new house!!!!

Susan Pearlman: Grandma Diann, I saw on the blog that you just had a birthday, so I'm sending late birthday wishes to you. Rosie, you have a wonderful grandma. Your family is blessed to have each other. May you all have a wonderful year together, with healing and happiness.

Grandma Diann: We had the best time today at the Murphysboro Apple Festival Parade. Many thanks to Barb, Vicki, and Dave and all the other wonderful people who let us share their lawn. Rosie had a fabulous time; she waved to all the princesses, and as they slowly went by, she told them how pretty they were and that she liked their shoes. I don't know if they heard her, but she sure had fun seeing them. She loved running out and picking up the candy from the street along with several sweet children who were there and played with her. It is great to see her have such a good time enjoying the parade and just being a kid anxious to get more candy! Thanks Murphysboro, it was a great parade. And thanks to Hollis for telling Rosie she is cute; so are you!

Lynn Mowry: Hi Rosie and Gordon family, We were so glad to hear of Rosie's first experiences at C'dale New School. We know a woman, who is a mom now herself of 2 lovely girls, that attended this school when she was a youngster...and LOVED it! We have never heard of anyone who didn't. We are also very glad to know that this tragedy will bring some good; especially in the updating of Animal Contol (dog) laws. Marion recently outlawed the unpredictable Pit Bull breed completely due to mailperson & etc. incidences. In fact, 2 years ago Mark (in wheelchair) got visciously charged by a Rottweiler (sp)-Pit bull mix dog as he crashed through his owner's screen door one day trapping us on the street. I had visions of Mark being completely mangled & in the hospital--not to recover. Thank God the owner came to our rescue as we were yelling (as calmly as possible)just in the nick of time; after the 3rd & what would have been the Last charge. Animal control checked out "Tyson" & said that he was a particularly agressive 100 + # dog, but he was also legally licenced. We have not walked down that street since & we used to all the time never knowing Tyson lived there. I'll be glad for the list of dogs; being a walker for health. Thank you, Rosie...you are in our prayers sweet little girl. PS..I lost my own baby girl, named Rose, many years ago..so when I pray for her, I automatically pray for Rosie, too. God Bless you all & give you enduring strength & grace to stand strong in future days. Lynn & Mark-C'Dale*

Lynn Gordon: Rosie and Aaron you will be in my heart! God Bless!

Dana Seidel: Dear Rosie, I am a friend of your Aunt Kimberly. My family and I have been following your amazing story. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Wishing you a great school year. Sincerely, Dana, Steve, Wyeth and Ethan Seidel

Diann Gordon: To Aaron and Rosie: You are in my thoughts and prayers; keep centering yourselves on the love you have all around you; it really does get you through, and when you feel low, and you will, go back to the well of love and fill up. I am sending some love and healing thoughts to both of you right now.

Rosie & AAron: Hi Rosie , my name is Rosie and my son's name is Aaron i know exactly what you and your family are going through my son was attacked by a pit bull on 9/5/08 this is the most tramatic experiance anyone can go through , i am so glad to know that you are doing well and will keep your family in our prayers , Please do the same for my family

Grandma Diann: Hi everyone, Life has settled down a bit for the entire Gordon family, and we are grateful for that. On Saturday, Rosie, Kendra, Aunt Lynn and myself went to the hot air balloon fest at the Southern Illinois airport, between Carbondale and Murphysboro. We had such a delightful time, not only marveling about the huge and beautiful balloons (one was a giant polar bear...impressive), but watching Rosie go from one inflated jumping house to another. Not only did she jump and jump, two of them had a slanted wall for them to climb up to the top of a slide (this is all vinyl, for those of you who haven't seen these things a local fairs). She kept sliding down and running around to get back in line. There were so many kids there it was like walking through a field with grasshoppers jumping all over..yikes..but she had a ball. One time she went down the slide backwards...uh..my heart stopped...she got off and said, "Oh that was fun!!" Unfortunately, I had to caution her that it was not safe to slide down backwards as she can't see who's below. She agreed and was fine with it. Her mom bought her a pretty light up butterfly on a wand that some little girls were running around with, and she had so much fun being a butterfly with those girls. By the time she was in the car, and we were snaking our way out of the parking lot, she said she was tired...she was...she was asleep when we got her home. I can't tell you how happy it makes me feel to see her enjoy herself.

Diann Gordon: To Thomas Publishing: Thanks for fixing PayPal button

Grandma and Grandpa Gordon: Rosie came over yesterday afternoon with Aunt Lynn and we had a wonderful time. I guess there were fairies flying in and out of Lynn's car when she brought Rosie over, but the time they got to our house, Rosie had become Tinkerbell and Lynn was Peter Pan. We had a great time with all those characters plus we had a lot of fun in the pool. The weather was beautiful and having Rosie and Lynn over made it an even more wonderful day.

Amanda: For some reason the donate button isn't working. When I click it nothing happens. Hummmmm....

John Kinnett and family: Rosie you look just like your mother. I am so happy you are a home and recovering so well. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers every single day.

Kathy Brown(Les' Mom): Little Rosie,so glad you are home and doing well,I am good friends of your Mommie's family in Monticello,Ky. There have been lots of people praying for you, here. Hope you continue to get better and hope you had a great 4th birthday!! All our love and prayers.

Susan Roberts Lackey: Hi Rosie! You don't know me but I was one of your Mommy's teachers and she is very special to me. I want to wish you all the best and tell you how much you are thought of even by those you don't know personally. :) God bless you all,

Grandma and Grandpa Gordon: We just want everyone to know how much we appreciate your continued thoughts and prayers for Rosie. She is really doing great. We had "just a wonderful day" (her words) yesterday playing mermaids and mer-grandpa in the pool, playing fairies and Cinderella with grandma and Aunt Lynn (wow, is it nice to have her here) and generally just being an active 4-yr. old. It is quite an amazing process to see her emerge from such a traumatic event while retaining all her energy, intellect, and determination. New School is a God-send for her and we are so grateful for everyone there for embracing her and creating the environment that allows Rosie to flourish even more. Love to all of you.

Grandma Diann: To Frida and all the other wonderful stylists at the Regis Salon in Lincolnwood, Illinois, thank you for your love for Lynn. She will miss you. And many thanks to all of you, your families, and your clients who have been so generous in their donations, extra tips for Rosie, birthday and get well gifts. The outpouring has been quite amazing. Lynn arrived safely and we will be unpacking her truck today. She will live just 3 blocks from Rosie. We are very, very happy to have her back here.

frida: hi dear rosie ,good news is aunt Lynn is finaly home, you are having so much fun .you are so lucky to have her near you .we miss her so much.I presonally is sad not to see her .but i a'm so happy she's close to you ,my dear rosie have fun,

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): "There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home"... I'll see you this weekend my lovely Rosie and Handsome Paul. We are gonna be neighbor's. Love

Judy Kay: Thomas J: My heart goes out to you and your entire family. I wish I would have known about the benefit. I just received this link today. Let me know if there is anything I can do. If your beautiful little Rosie has to come to St. Louis for treatment, We are only 20 minutes away if you need a place to stay. OUr house is always open and there is plenty of space. Take care.

Missy Wells: I just wanted to take a moment to say how great it was to visit with everyone this weekend. I always enjoy seeing all of Kendra and Tom’s family and friends. And what a wonderful excuse for me to make the trip, the turn out for “Rock Out for Rosie” was amazing and I had a great time. I had the privilege of spending the weekend with Rosie and her little brother Paul, and I feel like the Grinch after his heart grew three sizes. What an amazing little girl they have. Her love, spirit, attitude, and imagination are astounding. She’s an active little four year old who kept me hopping all weekend. For all of the physical concerns this little girl is going through you would never know it mentally, and I want to give Kendra and Tom some well deserved recognition for that. All my love to the Gordon’s, hope to visit again before to long. (maybe we’ll get some projects done next time Kendra)Lots of Love from Louisville!!!!

Megan Straza: Hi, I have a couple friends who are particularly close to the family. I was very saddened to hear what had happened. I wish all the best to her and her loved ones. Due to some trouble I had donating online I will be sending mine through the mail. God Bless.

Amanda: Man was that fun!!!! See you later today little missy.

Aunt Lynn : Yesterday was so wonderful! Thank you again to all of the lovely people who came together and put your time, energy, money and most of all hearts into "Rock out for Rosie". When I left the Hanger last night I went to babysit Rosie and Paul and she told me " I Love everyone who knows me." and Grandma Diann told her "Everyone who knows you loves you" and Rosie said "I love this whole town" Even if she does not grasp what this event was, she felt that love. There are no words for what Rosie means to many of us who are lucky to be touched by her sweet soul... and there are no words for how grateful our family is to those of you who have touched ours in return. Thanks!

Char and Phil: What an incredible coming together......the sheer energy, joint purpose and love certainly lifted all of us...so, we all benefited through Rosie. We heard more than one person comment about being glad and proud to be part of such a community. We echo that. Sending many thanks to those who organized the event and much love to Rosie and family.

Grandma Diann: PS to the messages below: Thanks to the family and friends who traveled to be there yesterday. We appreciate your time and energy to attend Rock Out for Rosie, and your presence was special.

Grandma and Grandpa Gordon: Regarding the Rock Out for Rosie Event yesterday, what a surprising turnout, what warm and generous people you all are. Can we all meet like that again sometime? The atmosphere in the Hangar was electric with love. It was beyond gratifying to see how many people came to the Hangar, many of whom we do not even know, on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, to be there for Rosie and for our family. To our many devoted friends, we thank you for being there for us throughout this situation, and for coming out yesterday. To all of you, we are overwhelmed by your love and support for us. We would be remiss, if we did not offer thanks to Sally Carter, and the Hangar crew, to all the bands who volunteered their time on a Saturday to make this event the "rock out" that it was, to Debbie and Jason Thomas and the great people at Thomas Publishing for all the time and money they lavished on this event, AND to the many, many businesses and individuals who donated items for the auction and thenraffle. It certainly enhanced the atmosphere (not to mention the monetary result) to have all those beautiful gifts around for the guests to bid on and engage in a little friendly competition...fun, fun. As most of us know, if we have lived for a bit, we all get by, with a little help (a lot in this case) from our friends. The Gordon family thanks you for the fun yesterday and for what you have done for our Rosie.

We are so pleased to be a part of the celebration.

Adam: You're in my prayers for a speedy yet thorough recovery. Keep Rockin' Rosie.

Phil the Xerox Guy: Rosie, I will get to know you soon...but in the meantime, I will be more than happy to have a great! great! excuse to show up at the strip on a Saturday night. Though the curcumstances could be better, you have offered the community a profound opportunity to get together again and remember why we all exist. I am so inspired by you, your parents and everyone associated with this event. My best wishes to you and your family!...you might even see my silly face in a picture or two...and when I get to meet you in person, you'll remember me! -Phil

Aunt Connie: Hey, Rosie: So happy to read that you are doing so well. Let us know how the Rock Out for Rosie concert turns out. Wish we could be there! See you Thanksgiving. Love to you, Paul, Mom and Dad.

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): Ohh little Rosie Pie I cant wait to see you and your brother this weekend! I know this weekend will be so positive and full of fairy dust just as you would like. I'm really excited for moving back home and getting to see you all the time! I love you xoxo

Amanda: A few things miss rosie. People really love you! Everywhere I go people ask me about Rock Out for Rosie! YAY. I want to thank all of you who have put money in the donation containers that are around town. It is making a difference!!! It goes right into this account. Please keep helping. Also, miss rosie. I love (in the best way possible) that you called my mom a whale! or maybe she was a dolphin. I think she is a dolphin. Oh my, maybe I was the whale!

Roger Pugh: Rosie, I wrote a song especially for you, and I will play it at the show on Saturday. I hope you like it! Roger

Jeff Bean: Hey Rosie! Here's to wishing you a speedy recovery. Sounds like you are making huge strides. Keep up the good work!! Wish I could make the benefit but will be stuck here in California. I will be sending many positive thoughts your way. A big hello to mom, dad & Paul. -jb

Aunt Dubbs and Crazy Ol' Uncle Warren: Hi Sweet Pea! We were working tonight getting ready for the Rock Out For Rosie party this weekend. So many wonderful people have contributed presents and things to help your chin to get better. There will be an auction and music and food and we'll be thinking of you. Love you very very much.

Lisa B. Perkins: Kendra, It is great to read that Rosie is doing so good. She has been in our prayers and God does answer prayers. God Bless you and your family. Lisa Bates Perkins

Grandma and Grandpa Gordon: We are all looking forward to the Rock Our For Rosie event this Saturday, at the Hangar 9. Please look at Kendra's blog that she posted on Aug.4, for some of the details. We hope to see a lot of you there throughout the day and evening. Rosie is doing great; each day brings more healing. She is really excited about going to school in a few weeks, and we are thankful that she has recovered so well that she can go to New School this fall like planned.

Char & Phil: We sure hope lots of people show up to help your chin get better, Miss Rosie, dear! What a GREAT list of items for the auction. We love that there is such a great picture of you on the tickets. We hope to see lots of folks we know there. Lots of love to you all! PS....Phil couldn't get on the duck...I was a big chicken and didn't try to get on the duck.

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL! Rosie how cool is it to be a big sister? I dont know about being a big sister, but I know brother's are fun. I am sure in this year to come you and Paul will have so much fun together. Love You All XOXO. See you next weekend!

Grandma Diann: Rosie is really returning to full form; her energy level, her spirit, and her wonderful imagination are all quite evident more and more each time I am with her. She was dancing for Paul and I yesterday and showing us her "ballet moves." Then she was mom and I was Rosie, and we were going to go to school. Paul, when not trying to stomp over or climb over everything in the house, is greatly amused when he watches her. We had a delightful afternoon and grandma is so thankful to have these two beautiful and fun children with whom I can spend an afternoon.

Ricci: So glad to hear Rosie is doing so well! All my thoughts are with you all for Rosie's full recovery. Take care! Love, Ricci

louisa, isabella, and hallie: hi rosie im so sorry me and my friends r gonna have a lemonade stand 4 u so we can help out as much as possible get well soon!!!!!!!!!!

David & the Crew at Mail Boxes Etc.: We are all thinkin' of ya, and are pleased and proud that your recovery is going so well. Rock on!

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): Rosie I made you a fairy on pixiehollow.com her name is rosa lovely-glimmer. She is beautiful and spunky just like you! The best part she can fly! Can you do me a favor and please give Paul a kiss for me. I miss you guys! Love You!

Char: I think I am one of the whales that was in the pool....but, it was great fun. Rosie is a wonder. She and her family are inspiring....resilient and full of courage. One of the few times I'm proud to be a whale......

Grandma and Grandpa Gordon: Boy did we have fun last night with Rosie and Paul, and Tom and Kendra had a nice time too, as they went out to dinner to celebrate Tom's birthday. Rosie was in full form last night, running around the house, dancing and making Paul laugh; Paul was chasing her through the house to try and get the musical lawnmower away from her laughing the whole time. Then after Paul went to bed, Rosie and grandpa sat down and looked at photographs of Tom when he was a little boy...like the time he jumped into a mudhole he and Joe dug in the yard. She was quite amused by that and told her dad and mom when they came to pick her up; she thought her dad was very silly; some things don't change!!. She had lots of love and kisses for us, which melts one's heart, and to think just 5 weeks ago she had her surgery. Lots of people and angels helping her out, that's for sure.

josh and pang: Hi sweetpea!!! I just LOVE looking on here and seeing your progress...YEAH!!!! So glad you are doing well and truckin' right along. More positive energy coming your way little sis!!!!!

Jolie Burris (mother of the dolphins): Rosie: The dolphins have returned home, but I think they'd rather be chasing you around the pool in your boat. They had an awesome time in Carbondale and were so glad they got to meet you and share some fun times with you. You and your family are in our daily thoughts and prayers!

Amanda: I am so excited that I have gotten to see you TWO days in a row miss rosie! Thank you so much for being so great to my cousins and letting them spend time with you and grandma and grandpa. Playing fairies was so fun!!!

Matt & Crystol Peters: Glad to hear Rosie is home and doing well, Matt will call later and check up.

Hollis: "I love you Rosie. I had fun at the birthday party. Thank you for comming!" Mommy adds that it was just great to see the entire Gordon clan!!

Mel: Rosie, you're doing soo great! I am SO PROUD of you!

Grandma Diann: Whales and dolphins in the pool?? I know who the dolphins were; Char and Phil's wonderful niece and nephew, but the whales....hmmm...grandma definitely needs to loose some weight...regardless, it was a grand time for all; Rosie is definitely getting back to her regular energy level, so in reality, grandma WILL be loosing some weight real soon just keeping up with Rosie and Paul. I am looking forward to the routine!!

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): Rosie your a sweetheart, Rosie your very smart, Rosie your so kissable no wonder my dear niece you are so missable. Rosie you make my heart sing, Rosie you are as beautiful as a wedding ring. Sometimes I think you fly with fairy's I amazed at what those wings have carried. How lucky we are to have our Rose, I really really hope she knows! :~) I LOVE YOU GUYS!

Grandma Diann: Rosie has been home a little over a week, and she is returning to form daily. Yesterday, she got to go to a little friend's one year birthday party, and Tom reports that she had so much fun and that it was such a good party for all of them. Having the love of your friends is the best medicine for all of us. Thank you dear friends and family near and far for your caring, and thank you to those little friends yesterday who gave Rosie a wonderful day!

Melanie Eads: Hi Rosie, I just read the great news about you being home. Congratulations!! I'm thinking about you all the way from South Africa. Your Mom can show you where that is on a map. I've seen lions, elephants, and lots of other cool animals. I hope you and Paul are having fun playing with all your new toys. I'm so glad you're doing well!!

Adrian Hanlon: Hi Rosie! This is Aunt Lynn's friend Adrian letting you know that I'm thinking of you and hoping that you are enjoying a beautiful summer day! Lots of love to you and to your beautiful family!

Nurse Chasity: Hi Rosie, You are the toughest and most beautiful girl I've ever met. I know I speak for everyone in the PICU when I say, you touched our lives the moment we met you. We love you all and think you of everyday. I'm sad that I didn't get to see you before you went home. But, you are always in my thoughts and prayers, cutie pie :)

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): Thanks Mom! Rosie you are the best Birthday Gift EVER! Lots of Love and see you soon!

Grandma and Grandpa Gordon: Happy Birthday, Aunt Lynn and thanks for all you and your staff and friends have done for us and for Rosie; it is a testament to your beauty as a person, inside and out. Love....

Grandma Diann: Well, Miss Rosie is certainly regaining her old form; she is getting her energy level back, her quickness in movement, and her ability to "pump" her legs when swinging in our backyard, one of her favorite activities and mine too. She gave me an explanation about how bats and owls swoop down to catch insects, how werewolves come out during the full moon, and how Dora was flying through the sky and coming home with her for a sleep over...thankfully, things are returning to normal. We are appreciative of all of you checking this message board and for thinking of us.

Hayley Axtmann: Hi Rosie I am so glad to hear that you are at home and doing well! Stay strong and God bless

Grandma and Grandpa Gordon: Thank you to Kaitlyn and all her friends for organizing and conducting such a great day for music, friendship, and help for Rosie. I hope all your friends enjoyed the day as much as we did. Miss Rosie is healing well and getting back to her "old" self with increased activity...we have all put our track shoes on to keep up with her and that brother of hers. Thanks again to everyone who supported the young people yesterday and of course our continued thanks to all who have been supportive of the family throughout.

Amanda: Rosie, Did you know today was national ice cream day? Did you eat some? I did...mmmm. If you didn't, don't worry, it is actually national ice cream MONTH. Have mommy and daddy get right on that! Love you all.

Kaitlyn: Benefit Concert for Rosie Gordon: Turley Park, Sunday, July 20th; 3pm-9pm; Local teen bands scheduled to play are: Tribute to Puffy, Clide, Steve, The Strip, Limited Acceptance and more! There will be a raffle for a bike from Phoenix Cycles and a guitar from Sound Core Music. Tickets are $6 each or 5 for $25. For tickets call me at 618-975-1665.

Grandma Diann: As Rosie and I were driving to pick up lunch for Tom, Kendra, Rosie and myself, she commented that "It is a perfect day to play out in my backyard." I think that sums up her feelings pretty well; she is enjoying just being free to play in her own surroundings. She has so many new toys, books, stuffed animals and dolls to play with that she will keep busy for quite a while; her main task will be to keep Mr. Winkleson (brother Paul) from getting into her stuff!! Thanks for your good wishes for the family as they return to their everyday routine.

Vicki York Davis: Rosie! What wonderful news! I am so glad you got to go home today and that you are getting better. Have fun with Mom and Dad and Little Paul. We will keep you in our prayers.

Aunt Dubbs and Crazy Ol' Uncle Warren: It sounds like Rosie's rockin'. Keep it up little sister! A note to well-wishers; if you know anyone who would like to donate auction items for Rosie's benefit on Aug. 9th, please let the folks at Thomas Publishing know or call Kelley and Warren at 618-713-5463. Many thoughtful contributions are rolling in, but we keep thinking of this amazing nationwide web that has developed. There are people who have the ability and the inclination to contribute and we've not thought of them yet--perhaps they have sports memorabilia, artwork, jewelry, time shares. Anyone have a vehicle they'd like to donate? Think of all the folks who know other folks who might be able to provide tempting auction items. 100% of the proceeds will go to the family. Once you start thinking about it it gets pretty exciting! Thanks to everyone.

Char & Phil: We Love You, too! You're in our thoughts and hearts! You know you can call whenever you need........

Grandma and Grandpa Gordon: We had a really good visit with Rosie yesterday; Tom and Kendra took Paul out for a stroll in the park; he fell asleep in the stoller, but we got to spend time with Rosie. She is very alert, aware and quick to correct grandma on her pronunciation of "Madeline," the main character in a movie we were watching. She has not missed a beat there. She is still a bit unsteady when walking, so we hope she gets moved to the 5th floor where she can get her body back to being able to go full speed. She had flashes of it yesterday when she was kneeling on the bed and dancing to music in the movie she was watching. However, her activity level and her needs are using up Tom and Kendra's reserve of energy, what little there is left. It is wonderful that she is talking so much and being so active, but she is still in a confined space, so she doesn't quite understand why she can't just be Rosie. That's why her moving to the 5th floor where she would get more physical therapy might just be what the doctor ordered. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers that continue to sustain us.

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): I Love You Rosie and I know the next time I see you will be at your house! Keep eating good and working hard at physical therapy and you will be home with the click of those red boots! XOXO

Aunt Jessi & Uncle Joe: Hi Rosie! We're so proud of how well you're doing! Keep eating your taters and getting strong, you'll be out of there and back home in no time! We'll be up again in 2 days to see you. We love you SO MUCH! And we promise it wasn't us who left a food mess in your bed! :)

Tammy (Blevins) Barnes: Rosie, what a beautiful and precious little girl you are. You look so much like your mother. I am a friend of your mother's from Monticello. My family, church family, and many friends are praying for you and your family in hopes of a speedy recovery. May God bless you all. I hope you had a wonderful birthday.

Amanda: Just a little reminder to my favorite little red head. We love you!!! It sounds as if I will see you at home before I see you in St. Louis!!! Also, if I can way in on the "crazy" conversation you and daddy had. I vote for daddy. I know he wasn't in the mix (i realize it was you and paul), but daddies are usually pretty crazy...especially yours.

Susan Pearlman: Rosie, you don't know me, but I know your Grandma Diann, and I remember your Aunt Lynn when she was a little girl. So I know that you have a wonderful family who are taking great care of you. I'm so happy that you're eating and playing and healing fast. That's wonderful news!

Aunt Dubbs and Crazy Ol' Uncle Warren: Well Miss Munchkin! Happy to hear you're getting your appetite back. We're working on a wonderful festival in your honor next month--people love you and they're thinking of you every day. So good to hear about your progress. Keep eating and dancing and driving--and get lots of rest too so you can come home soon.

Phillip and Nancy Duncan: Kendra, what a blessing from GOD you have in Rosie. Looking at her picture is like seeing you all over again when we were that age. Be strong in your faith and spirit as you always have been, and know that HE is in control and will never leave you nor forsake you. Classmate 1986

Thank you for your support of nurses and doctors, it makes us feel good to do something for someone. the staff at mhc er

Grandma Diann: To the emergency staff of the Memorial Hospital who treated Rosie, I have been wondering how we could get in touch with you to give you our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for saving Rosie and getting her on that helicopter to St. Louis in such a quick manner; you were quick thinking, efficient and very good with us!! You are also members of the Angel Corps.!!! I hope all of you can stop by the Hanger 9 in August so we can properly thank you. I am so glad you wrote a message, so I could write this back to you. Yesterday, after physical therapy, Miss Rosie told her dad she did not need anyone to help her walk; she could walk by herself. And she did. She also didn't want to leave physical therapy because she was having fun playing the board games. She also asked when she could go home and where's grandma! On Friday, she made a Mr. Potato head in physical therapy and told her therapist it looked like grandpa because he had glasses and a mustache.

Great Aunt Barbara and Great Grandma from AL: WOW! You are really SUPER GIRL, Rosie! You are getting better so fast! You will be well before long. Your birthday seems to just keep on happening every day from all the presents you are getting. We would love to see that dance of yours. Love and kisses.

Amy (first southern bank employee): Rosie and family: Hope all is going well. You are in our hearts and prayers.

er nurses at mhc: rosie, congrats on your 4th birthday, sorry you had to spend it in the hospital. We at carbondale pray for you and your family every day, and wish you a speedy recovery!! I hope we as nurses did our job to get you to a higher level of care for treatment, your family was so supportive of you and us, and we appreciate that. We will continue to follow your progress!! come bye and see us as soon as you can. The er nurses at mhc

Grandma Diann: Rosie had another good day on Friday, according to Aunt Lynn and Aunt Niki from Chicago. She enjoyed opening presents, eating a snow cone that the nurses brought around and started dancing in her bed to some music she was making with her new Princess keyboard from her cousin. Tom had to tell her to not dance with her body so much but with her fingers and he showed her how to do that, so she continued dancing with her hands and with less wiggling. She is doing well in physical therapy and walked for the first time yesterday while pushing a little shopping cart. It is hard for me to describe the feelings I have when I hear these reports; thanks to all of you for all you are doing for our family and especially for Rosie.

Hayley Axtmann: Hi Rosie.. I hope you have fun with Aunt Lynn and Niki, I know that they were very excited to see you!! Keep up the good work, Im so glad to hear how well you are doing!

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): Dear Rosie, "Gotta sing my own song. I might be singing out of key, but it sure feels good to me...I can't turn back I'm on a mission... Whatevers out there waiting for me Im gonna face it willingly...Im stepping out into the great unknown; I'm feeling wings though I've never flown." Joss Stone "Gotta Right to be Wrong" Keep singing that song Rosa and feeling those Wings your mission has been a success I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Don & Shari Brittingham: Kendra & Tom, Susan Adams told us about Rosie. We are so sorry that a beautiful 4 year old has to go through this trauma. We pray that her total recovery will be very soon and that she can resume a normal childhood. We pray that you will have continued strength and faith to pull her through this ordeal. God bless you all.

Aunt Dubbs and Crazy Ol' Uncle Warren: Hooray! Hooray for sipping through a straw! And isn't chocolate milk delicious? We're so awed and impressed by you Gordons--you're keeping all our spirits aloft. Love you over and over again.

UpLift/tp: Happy birthday little one. So glad you're feeling better and have a new room, too. What a great birthday present! We continue to pray for you and are looking forward to your complete recovery. We plan to sing a special song for you this Sunday. We send you love and wishes for a great tomorrow. Blessings.

Grandma and Grandpa Gordon: Rosie had a very nice birthday and when asked whether she was having a good birthday, she nodded affirmatively. She got so many presents that her mommy and daddy will be opening them for her and showing them to her for several days. The hospital staff is keeping her busy with physical therapy, where she performed very well throwing, catching and kicking a ball and playing board games, which used her dexterity; Tom said she did wonderfully with it all, which was encouraging to mom and dad. Overall, we all are encouraged by her progress and her responsiveness to our presence and our interaction with her. Thanks for these birthday wishes, the cards, the presents, the donations and the prayers. Those prayers and thoughts have materialized in her healing. Thank you!!

Great-Grandma and Great-Aunt Barbara: A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROSIE! We send love and kisses from Alabama to you and Paul and mom and dad. We posted a happy birthday blog Tuesday night, but something happened and it didn't get to you. We hope your room was the greatest and you recieved many, many presents. Our present will arrive soon. Much love and kisses to you sweet girl! Kendra, thanks for the email address. We will keep in touch. God Bless!

Rich Davidson: Rosie, There are a lot of good people pulling for you to get better soon and I for one think you will surprise them all with your ability to heal. From what I can tell, you have a strong spirit and I suspect you may be up and playing again before many of them are ready for it…so please take it easy on them. Try to listen to everyone as they are all doing their best to take care of you and also be sure to tell you parents to take care of themselves too. Adults are funny that way and you should give them as many hugs as you can. You’ll feel better and so will they. Happy Birthday!

Stacy (Huffaker) Barrier: Your family is in my heart and prayers!

Dianne Frazer: Hi Beautiful Rosie!! You look just like your sweet mom. I hope you have had a really good birthday! I was there at the hospital today for about 3 hours with Rosie and Tom. Rosie looked wonderful. Her eyes are twinkling more each day. She has her fiesty spirit and is moving around well. She was even able to talk to Dad a little which was very special. She ate chocolate pudding and got to play with her therapist's doll. I am really pleased to see the healing from day to day. I have no doubt Rosie will be out of there soon and home to her own bed. In the meantime she is getting THE BEST care! Thanks to everyone at Cardinal Glennon just for doing what you do.

Grandma Diann: According to Aunt Lynn and Tom, Rosie had a very interesting and active day with the speech therapist working with her and Rosie saying "dad" and "hi" and "hi dad." I know that made Tom feel good. There are a lot of more good details that I am sure they will share with you on the blog. Overall, she is more alert and processing more and more each day. Thanks for helping make this recovery possible by your continued prayers and thoughts from near and from far.

Great-Aunt Barbara and Great-Grandma in Alabama: We are so happy to hear how well you are doing, Rosie. You are such a brave and wonderful little girl. We love you!

Aunt Lynn : Hey my little Rockette! Rosie it was so WONDERFUL to see you today! I am so glad you were moving those fingers and toes around. The high kicks were my favorite part! You are healing up so quick and I just know you are gonna continue to amaze us all! To everyone leaving these messages they are so inspiring to our family and they really help. Thanks for the support!

Marcela Angel: Kendra... I heard what happened to Rosie right before my trip. I just came back and talked to Jason and he told me about this website. I'm so sorry! I hope Rosie recovers soon and quickly goes back to being the crazy little girl I've had the pleasure to play with. My best wishes for the whole family... keep strong guys. Lots of love.

Grandma and Grandpa Gordon: Our little angel-girl is really doing well; I have shed some tears of happiness today because she had her eyes open, although still a bit glassy, she was doing high kicks in the bed, seemed to be interested in looking at the red light on her big toe (oxygen sensor); when the nurse asked her to open her mouth so she could clean her teeth and tongue not only did she respond by doing as asked, she added a high kick with her left leg as well; we were impressed, but not surprised as that is the Rosie we know and love more than I can say. We will be going back up to see her on her birthday, which is Wednesday. Thanks to all of you for helping to make her recovery progress; her face is healing so well.

Char and Phil: Rosie, we are so glad to read that you have had a better day today! We can't wait to hear more about how you are doing better and better and more and more every day. Lots of love to you and your Mom and Dad, too......

Aunt Kimberly: I am so glad to hear you are having a much better day Miss Rosie! The McPherson Clan loves you very much and wish only the best for you! I hope to see you again soon and play pirates! Your Matee, Aunt Kimberly

Vicki York Davis: Hi Rosie! I am an old friend of your Mom. I was very sorry to hear about you having to go to the hospital. I remember being in the hospital when I was a little girl. It wasn't much fun, but the doctors and nurses took good care of me just as I am sure they are doing for you. My children, Zoe and Nikolas, and I will say a special prayer for you in hopes that it will help you to feel better soon. Nikolas is five years old and he wants to tell you that he hopes that you will get to go home soon. We will keep you in our thoughts. Kendra, my heart aches for you. I was so, so sorry to hear about this. If there is anything you need that I can help with, you know all you have to do is ask. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Carrie Atterberry: Hi Rosie, I used to work with your grandma at the Achieve Program at SIU and just wanted to let you (and the whole family) know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Grandma and I would share stories about you and my nephew when you were a baby. She is so proud of you, and with good reason. Surely you are a brave little girl to be going through this and know God has you in the palm of his hand. I will be thinking of your whole family as you undergo the next series of surgeries. All of my love . . .

Old McDebbie's Farm: Greetings from the state of Washington. When you are all better and want to take a vacation we would love to have you visit our farm. We have all sort of animals to love and pet. I am so glad to hear you are waking up and seeing your Mom and Dad! I know it makes you feel happy and safe to be with them and I want you to know what a lucky girl you are to have 2 such WONDERFUL parents. I will be there on Sunday with Grandma, Grandpa and Mr. Winkleson. Get your little self ready because we have a lot to catch up on... including many kisses and hugs.

Great-Aunt Barbara: Hi Rosie. Are you awake? Were you able to see any fireworks today? How are your mom and dad? Tell them that your Great-Grandma and Great-Aunt in Alabama are praying for all of you. Even your Great-Grandma's hairdressers are praying for you and reading about you. We hope you sleep good tonight. Your Great-Grandma wants very much to get well enough to be able to see you someday. We love you sweetie.

Aunt Connie: Hi, Rosie: Are you awake yet? Have you seen all the cute and wonderful things in your room and has your mom read you all of the cards and get-well wishes from people all over the country? You certainly are a special little girl! Be sweet and enjoy all the treats and special messages you are receiving. Our prayers are with you and your family. We love you. Aunt Connie

Melanie Eads: Hi Sweet Rosie, I'm a friend of your mothers from Kentucky. I had sent you an email on Monday, but my mother, Mary Eads, told me it never posted. Come to find out, somehow I registered to receive The Southern Newspaper, and I sent them your email. Isn't that funny!! I've known your mom a long time. As my mother told you on a previous email, we started playing together when we were about your age. Your mom was always fun to play with because she could always come up with something creative and different to do. (Build a Fort in the woods) You have a birthday in a couple of days. I hope you are able to eat lots of cake! I'm praying for you Rosie. I think about you several times a day. I'm so sorry you have had to go through this ordeal, but I know with God's grace you'll be just fine. There are so many people praying for you and your family, and we will continue to do so. You are a very special girl. Melanie Eads - Houston

Dawn in Quincy: Rosie, I have never met you or your family. My sister and her husband live in Carbondale and told me what happened.Actually, I think your mom and my brother-in-law Chris work together. I am so sorry that this terrible thing happened to you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope your recovery is speedy. God Bless You and your family!

Grandma Diann: To Diane in St. Louis, thank you for caring about Rosie; if you click on the Donate button above this message area, it will take you to the page to make a donation through PayPal. Thank you.

Ralph Davis: Rosie, I am far away in Atlanta but I heard you were in the hospital. I shall be praying for you that you get well and can go home soom. My little girl is 19 now and I shall tell her about you so you will have two new friends that care about you and send you prayers to get well! Ralph Davis and daughter Danielle

Mel: I think Joss Stone was lucky to meet Rosie, not the other way around! As Diann said, it is a fitting day for our little rocket! Keep the postings coming, it's great to hear about her progress, and helps me to not feel so far away :)

Diane in St. Louis: Hi, I heard about Rosie from a friend and reviewed your website. Is there a way to donate through paypal? Our prayers are with thei little girl. - Diane

Grandma Diann: I just got off the phone with Tom a little bit ago and Paul is down for a morning nap. The doctors told Tom it is a green light to go about noon, when they take her off the respirator; she has been breathing on her own as well, but once they take her off that, she will wake up pretty quickly and the fireworks will begin...I guess it is a fitting day to get our little soaring rocket back in our stratosphere. Keep those thoughts and prayers coming, as Miss Rosie will need them all, and so will we to meet the challenges ahead. Love to all....love all the messages you are sending; they are very comforting to Tom and Kendra, and all the family; it makes them feel connected to all of you.

Kilean: Hey there Rosie, it sure was great seeing you last weekend. Really can’t say enough about how well your Mom and Dad are doing and what a great job the docs have done. When I got back home from the trip, your cousins Henry and Clara told me that on Saturday they put together a lemonade stand for their cousin in Illinois. They also sold “Roses for Rosie” for a buck a pop – I’m not sure how much they made, but considering that Clara’s got a personality built along the same lines as your own, I’m guessing they made out pretty well. And I told them all about you Rosie, and how you’re getting better, and how you’ll keep getting better and what a firecracker of a girl you are. Matter of fact, I told them there’s enough wattage in that little heart of yours to power the entire Cardinal Glennon Hospital, if not most of greater St. Louis. So hang in there Rosie, we’re talking and thinking about you and your folks each and every day. We love you! -Clara, Henry, Stacy, and Kilean

Aunt Dubbs and Crazy Ol' Uncle Warren: Hi Kitten--We saw a bunch of well- wishers this evening in Carbondale and wanted to let you know that a full reunion of the original Mo Jo Deans will be playing at your benefit in August! Many many people are thinking of you and loving you. Keep healing. We'll see you soon.

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): Joss Stone! Very Cool! I saw her in concert 4 years ago at House of Blues here in Chicago! Also I must add when I was driving home from St. Louis last week I was listening to her because I find her music very calming and passionate. Hmm...Coincidence? I am Jealous Miss Rosa Lynn she is a very inspiring young lady just like you! I Love You guys and I am so glad Rosie is progressing so well.

Great-Aunt Barbara: Hi Rosie. It is great to hear that you have done so well today. Everyone I know in Alabama is praying for you, sweet girl. I know you can feel the love and prayers from everyone everywhere. I hear you have had very famous company with you today. Wow! That

Grandma Diann: Just wanted everyone to know that I was with Rosie, Tom and Kendra today and all are doing well. Rosie was resting comfortably...not a wiggle worm today, but that will come soon enough as they are slowly adjusting her medication to have her come around with ease and not experience any pain. Her healing is going just so well; we all know that all of you are helping the healing to take place. We also got to meet the singer Joss Stone today, as she was visiting children in the hospital; we will have to tell Rosie that a Rock Star came to meet our Shining Star.

Twink Foos: Dear Rosie, I am a friend of your Aunt Connie who lives in South Carolina. We volunteer at the same place. You have a very fun Auntie. I am looking forward to the time when you can come visit her and I can meet you. Your Aunt Connie thinks you are simply the best little girl ever. From everything she tells me, I believe that she is absolutely correct. I hope that you are feeling better. May God watch over you and bless you and your family. Thinking of you. Twink

Amanda: Kendra, I so enjoyed our time together yesterday. It was the highlight of my week (even better than the concert). It was also so wonderful to see miss. rosie in all her kicking and wiggling glory. A wonderful reminder that she is the same little squirrely whirly she has always been. I was so glad the surgery got moved up this a.m. I have been thinking of you all all day. Love, love, love, Amanda

Gary Tisdale: Hi Rosie, Kendra, Thomas and Paul. I remember seeing you, Rosie, as you lay in your crib behind your mom's chair at Thomas Publishing while she worked. I've sent out your website to many, many friends so more people will be praying for you. Know that you are in my prayers as well as your family.Take care and God bless.

Mel A. James: So grateful to hear all the good news! Go Rosie, you're doing great! Tom and Kendra, big hugs for both of you.

James: I am praying for you and may god help you though this. Good Luck in surgery.

Nan (Frazer) Hanley: Hi, Rosie. I wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I grew up in the neighborhood with your mom and Aunt Kimberly and Uncle Kilean - we all played togethr when we were your age. You look so much like your mom and hear that you have her spirit, and I know that will help you get through this. My love and prayers are with you and your family.

John Francis, MHS '85: Praying for Rosie and family. Live in Jeff City MO - about 1.5 hours away from STL. If you need anything don't hesitate to contact me. jfrancis@mobaptist.org

Grandma and Grandpa Gordon: Paul and grandpa won't be in St. Louis for your surgery, Rosie, but Grandma is coming up to be with you and your parents. Paul does miss your happy and funny self; he misses playing Follow that Bird (frankly, Rosie, he doesn't know how to talk to Mrs. Fitch on the phone; he just tries to eat the phone). Grandma misses singing with you while you are swinging, but we know you are heading in our direction soon, and we are looking forward to your happy birthday next week. Much love and pixie dust....

Mr.Winkleson AKA-Paul T.Gordon: Rosie, You are my favorite person in the whole world and I miss the way you make me laugh. Grandma and Grandpa are taking excellent care of me,but I wish we were back at our house with Mommy&Daddy.I want your surgery to go well today so that maybe you will get out of PICU and have your 4th birthday party in a "normal" hospital room. I haven't got to see you in 13 days and I miss you terribly. Love, Your Little Brother!

Phil and Char: Rosie, Tom and Kendra...You are all in our thoughts and prayers and hearts. We'll be up to see you before long, but know that we hold you in our hearts. With fond memories of 4th of July celebrations at the Gordon's and much love.....

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): Rosie Posie my little sweetness I love you so! I am sending you SO MUCH LOVE from everyone in my life here in Chicago. Everyone is thinking and praying for you and your wonderful team of Surgeons and Nurses. I cant wait to see you this weekend. Be good to those people caring for you I know you want to give them a run for their money...and you will. XOXO

Great-grandmother Holmes in Alabama: Hi Rosie. This is your Great-grandmother in Alabama. We haven't met, but you look so much like your grandmother Lynn, that it feels as though I have always known you. I am praying for you to get better real soon. I hope we can meet in person soon. Melissa Eads: Kendra and Family....please know that Rosie is in my prayers as are all of you. I love the photo on the website and can certainly see so much of you in her Kendra. I can also tell that she has your fighting spirit, so I know she will get through this. It would be great to get to see all of you sometime. It has been to long. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Lisa Bates: Kendra, Shanyn told me what about your daughter and I just wanted to let you know that you guys are in my prayers. Rosie looks alot like you did growing up. So I am sure she will have a speedy recovery and will be full of questions. Hang in there God only hands out what he knows we can handle. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do. Love and Prayers Lisa and family

Marilyn Barnes: Hi, Sweet Rosie. I'm someone that your mom knew as Marilyn Preston when she was a little girl in Monticello, KY. I just heard about all that has been happening to you and want you and your parents to know that I am praying for you and trusting that God, who loves you very much, will be right there with you and help you to get well soon. I can tell that you are a wonderful little girl with a lot of spunk. My love and prayers.

Tasha : Hi Gordon Family! This is just a little love being sent through the blogosphere out to you and Rosie! The strength and love that you all have is just indescribable. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers from here on out. Love you all!

Sarah Strait: Hi Gordons! Loving you all from Michigan! I am so appreciative & happy to hear all of the great news and updates. I am so excited about the upcoming benefit and hope to see at least some of you there - I am defintely going to make it! You can take the girl out of Southern Illinois - but you can't take Southern Illinois and it's wonderful community out of the girl...missing everyone everyday. I am so glad to see and know how many wonderful people love and care for each of you - it is truly a testament of what wonderful people you are!

Brad Masterson: Thomas J and Kendra both of you are my heroes! Your devotion is an inspiration to us all. Hope to make it up their after the 4th with Hollis to see you both and Rosie. Love Brad

Diann and Jeff Gordon, grandma and grandpa: I just need to add that Kendra and Tom have been doing an amazing job of being there for Rosie all the time. Kendra has not come home since Rosie was flown into the hospital; her love and devotion to Rosie is both admirable and inspiring and the same can be said for Tom. This is not a situation that anyone can ever be prepared for and their instincts have served them well. Thank you both for being the way you are, it makes all of us feel so much better.

Susan Adams: Kendra...Mary Eads was kind enough to inform me that you all were welcoming prayers for Rosie. My thoughts and prayers are with Rosie, your entire family, and the medical staff as you all assist her in the healing process. Please know that many prayers are being and will continue to be lifted for you all here in Texas. Thank you for creating this site so that we can all remain updated and know what we can do to help. Love, Susan

Connie & Ed: For the Gordon family....We are neighbors of your Aunt Connie on Hilton Head Island, SC. Our prayers are with you for strength, patience & complete healing of your daughter Rosie. We hope to meet you when you come to visit.

I will definitely be praying for Rosie and for your family! God is the only one who can comfort us in these storms we go through in life! Rosie...you don't know me, but your mom and I were best friends growing up in Monticello, KY. I live in Louisville, KY now and am praying for you to get better soon!

Shanyn: Kendra.....Melanie sent me this information about your daughter...I am so sorry for what you and your family are going through but I know from personal experience that prayer and faith in God will get you all through this terrible time...I see you in the picture of Rosie and from what I read in your blog it sounds like she has her mother's spirit as well...I am sending a check as I know how medical treatment and the associated expenses add up....if there is ANYTHING I can do PLEASE let me know! Love, Shanyn

Diann and Jeff Gordon, grandma and grandpa: I am glad that Kendra posted such a nice and informative message on the blog. Just wanted everyone to know that we visited with Rosie on Monday, and she is doing very well and is healing and progressing as the doctors want her to. However, we had to be really quiet as she is more aware of voices in the room, especially ones she recognizes. This is because she has had one medication stopped on Saturday, which was one that kept her still, so now her body is functioning as it should, but being Rosie, she has exerted her energy and will on the situation. This is a good sign of course, but they need her to remain still because of some of the internal healing that is going on inside her face. Our continued gratitude to the Cardinal Glennon's staff who are a group of well trained and well skilled angels; the nurses are anxious for Rosie to wake up completely because they want to converse with this little dynamo. Thanks to all of you for posting these wonderful comments and wishes for Rosie. It is such a comfort for all of us to know how much so many people are caring for Rosie, and for us. Please think hard again for her on Thursday as she will have surgery to remove her stitches on face and arm. Mr. Paul is happily with mommy and daddy until Wed. when Tom will bring him back to us...I miss my little buddy already. I hope each of you has something nice happen to you today, for all you are doing for us.

LINDA B from Joshua Tx: Rosie,Your prayer chain is now is Texas. I read that you are a little girl with spunk. Keep up the fight and get well! You have a lot of loving people taking care of you. Wish you well and love. A concerened mother of 3.

Kim,Randy, Jessica, Grant, & Katie: Rosie, We have several prayer chains going "up north" for your speedy recovery. Not a day goes by, someone doesn't ask how you are doing. Let us know we the benefit is. Love to all of you...Tom, Kendra, Paul, Aunt Diann and Uncle Jeff. You've all been in our thoughts and prayers. Kim

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): Miss Rosie I heard you are being very squirmy! I hope you can just relax a little longer and let everything continue to heal. Although I must admit I love your spunk! I will see you Sunday and I cant wait to kiss your precious head! I Love You Sweet Rosa!

Cynthia (Eads) Craft: Dear Rosie, You do not know me but I know your mother and your Aunt Kimberly and Uncle Kilean. I grew up with them in Kentucky. I miss them and think of them often and have been thinking alot about you. You are just 10 days older than my little girl. If you are anything like your mama I know you are a fighter and will pull through this. You have alot of people praying for you all over the United States. So from Atlanta, Georgia we send you our love and prayers. Maybe someday we can meet one another and you can play with my little girl, Holland. Much love to your mama and daddy.

Cousin Sydney: Dear Rosie, I know I am not able to see you often so I just wanted to say how strong of a girl you are and that I love your so very much. I cannot wait to see you and everyone at Aunt Connie and Uncle Kurt's. Good Luck and I love you, Cousin Sydney

"she has a healthy disrespect for the medical profession - which will work in her favor!" It always worked for me. See you all soon.

Jessica & Sofi: Rosie, Sofi & I started to make you a magic butterfly princess wand on Saturday, before we knew--we will send it right away. Magical things can happen from used straws, sparkly ribbon, and tape. And love.

I know it sure helped me to see just how well they are taking care of you. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the progress you’ve made already. I know this is just the beginning, but you’re just going to get better and stronger, and I’m sure you’ll be showin’ those doctors who’s boss real soon. The Smith Family: We are keeping you in our thoughts and our prayers. I know God is watching over you and He is there with you.

Doug Ogg: Dear Rosie, When I was a little boy about your age I was in a terrible accident too. I was riding my bike on the sidewalk near my house when I was hit by a big truck. I had to go to the hospital, and it took a long time for me to recover. Sometimes I hurt, and sometimes I was scared. But I had my family, doctors, and lots of people helping me, as is the case with you. While I was recovering at home I spent a lot of time making up stories and drawing, and now I get to draw cartoons as my job! Do you like to draw too? Sometimes bad things happen, and we don't know why. But things will get better. Be brave, be strong, and know that people love you and are praying for you to get all better again.

Ruby Pulcher: Little Rosie you are in our hearts & Prayers. You are a fighter! There is not a day that goes by that we are not thinking of you & your parents & g'parents. Godspeed!

Gavin, Susie, Gwen and Camilla: We are praying for your quick recovery every day. What a beautiful little girl you are!

a friend in Wisconsin: To Rosie's family - I have never met you, and in fact the person who told me about Rosie's situation,my son, I don't think has actually met you either. I believe that energy coming from the incredibly widening circle of well wishers will surely support Rosie's healing and comfort her family. So often in times of pain and uncertainty we, once again, see evidence of how connected we all are to each other. The spiritual energy sent to Rosie's family, grows beyond reason, without regard for distance or how exactly we are connected. My prayers go out especially to Rosie's parents and grandparents as I know that seeing your child in pain is so much more difficult than experiencing the pain yourself.Take good care of yourselves.

Kathy Gehring: Hi Rosie! You don't know me, but I am a friend of your Grandma Diann. Your Grandma has been telling me a lot about you and sending me pictures of you ever since you were a baby. I think of you often and am praying for your speedy recovery. Much love to you and your family.

Monica Tichenor: Hi, Rosie. You don't know me, but I know your mom through her job at Thomas Publishing. She is warm, funny, and has always struck me as a kind and wise soul with a real zest for life. I saw you with your mom and dad about three weeks ago at the Neighborhood Co-op. I couldn't help but notice that you had your mom's sunny personality and bright smile. My husband, Jak, and I send our love, prayers, and best wishes for a full recovery. Be strong!

Amanda: I just wanted to remind you how much we love you all. Mom and I are going to see Paul today at Grandma's house. We will give him loads of kisses for you.

Diann and Jeff Gordon, grandma and grandpa: Just to let you all know that Rosie is doing fine this Saturday morning; she is resting comfortably. Sometime this coming week she will go back into surgery to remove the stitches from her face and the staples from her arm where they took the tissue, artery, and tendon to reconstruct her chin and bottom lip. Tom and Kendra are doing well; Kendra's sister, brother and good friend, Missy, are visiting with them until Sunday. Tom and Kendra have been able to move into the Ronald McDonald house just a block from the hospital; they were 12th on the list just a few days ago and all of a sudden there was a place for them. I think all of you angels out there had some thing to do with that too!! Keep your thoughts and prayers coming; they are working so well for all of us; we all need you. Thank you all for all you are doing and we appreciate all the comments that you are posting. Love, Diann and Jeff Gordon

Nic Skovgaard: Dear Rosie, Kendra and the rest of the family. Karen was kind enough to let me know shortly after it happened and I am so sorry to see such a tragedy happen to such wonderful people. I wish the best to you and I hope Rosie will get the best care possible. If there is ever anything we can do to help please don't hesitate to ask. You will be in our thoughts. Love Nic & Sara

Aunt Lynn (Lynn Gordon): Hi Rosie! I wanted to write you again to tell you even though I am not right there with you you are on my mind and in my heart every minute. The love I have for you can not be put into words and the pride I have in you will never burn out. Tom and Kendra you are so special to me and I have so many things to learn from your example in how you have handled this trying time. Rosie I know you Believe and I know Tinkerbelle is sitting right next to your beautiful little face and shinning her light on you! XOXO Aunt Lynnie

Lynn Mowry: Dear Rosie and family, I did not know that you even existed until I saw this heart-wrenching newspaper article, but I used to cut Grandpa & Grandma Gordon's hair at their home many years ago when your daddy, Tom, was just a young boy...I would recognize that "reddish" tendency anywhere; that beautiful "Gordon" hair! Grandma Diann always wanted a "fru-fru" cut. I think you take after her quite a bit. She was always so delightful & spunky!! This is a heck of a way to meet such a darling little gal as yourself. The healing balm of love is oozing from the hearts of those here expressed & I just want to add my heartfelt prayers for your speedy recovery and God's grace & strength for Jeff, Diann, Tom & Kendra and all other family members. * Blessed Mother of God, please watch over Rosie with your tender heart. *

Char, Phil & Amanda: We were fortunate to visit with Rosie and her Mom and Dad (and Mom's family and best friend). It is both uplifting and sobering to see Rosie. Uplifting because she is mending and healing and because she's getting such incredible holistic care and there is tangible evidence of the love being sent to them. Sobering because there is a realization that there will be so much more on their journey to recovery. Rosie and her family will be stronger; those of us who have been touched by Rosie need to resolve to maintain our support for them. We all get by with a little help from our friends and so will Rosie and her family.......

Chris McKinley (Aunt Cwiss): There is something profound here to be learned from this incredible little girl. Something beautiful can grow from tragedy. Something horrible and seemingly hopeless can turn into something inspiring and positive. It seems impossible to see that when tragedy first strikes, but as Rosie is teaching us now, anything can be overcome. We so often wait for something of this nature to show our infinite capacity for love, and don\'t often enough show it on a day to day basis, when things are going smoothly. I think that Rosie would agree with me when I say we should all do our best to show our love for one another all day every day as much as we can. I know she can feel the incredible energy that is being generated by all of us right now. Rosie, Paul, K-Sue and Thomas-J are going to come out of this with a keen awareness of the love they feel for one another, as well as the love that encircles them from everyone they know. And that is, in my opinion, the greatest thing that any person can possess during her lifetime. Princess Rosie reigns supreme !!! I could\'t love you more and I\'m here for you no matter what. -Chris McKinley(O.G.)

Aunt Lynn: I want to thank all the wonderful people that our family is lucky to have in our lives. We have all been so amazed by all of your spirit and support thru this time.
